Kitchener Stitch Ebook CoverKitchener Stitch is my first knitting ebook.

It provides a quick reference to Kitchener stitch, also known as grafting or weaving. Kitchener stitch makes an invisible join, but involves several nearly identical steps. I have trouble remembering the steps and their order, and I’m sure other knitters can use a reference guide, too.

Kitchener Stitch is in two main sections:

  • An “at a glance” overview, with small photos of each step and brief instructions;
  • A large photo and detailed instructions for each step.

I’ve also included tips on starting and ending your weaving neatly, and on adjusting the tension.

Note: this edition includes Kitchener stitch for stockinette only. If there is enough interest, I can add instructions for grafting in other stitch patterns.

The ebook is available in formats that can be read on all ebook readers, tablets, smart phones and computers:

  • Epub the industry standard, for iOS, Nook, Sony Reader, Kobo, and others
  • .mobi for the Kindle and Kindle apps
  • PDF for reading at home and on smartphones
  • LRF for older Sony Readers
  • PDB for Palm reading devices
  • and also html, rtf, and text (though text will not have the illustrations, which are the most important part of the ebook.

All these formats are available at Smashwords, where with one purchase you can buy Kitchener Stitch in all formats. You can also buy directly from your reader’s online store; links are below.
