If you live near me, you know I’m the owner for our town’s Freecycle group. Freecycle is a network of community e-mail groups that focus on keeping still useful stuff out of the trash. It’s a great concept, and I’ve been volunteering my time as the local group’s head honcho for 6 1/2 years.
As part of discussions with the local newspaper for me to start a biweekly column on web design, the paper interviewed me for an article about Freecycle. The article was published last Thursday.
